It’s been awhile since my last post, for which I apologize! I’m in the process of formatting some of my books for Kindle and Nook, which is taking me a little time, as I consider myself to be somewhat technologically challenged!
All that aside, I felt the need to post an excerpt from one of those books. The intent is not to advertise the book, but rather to help make you aware (and to remind myself) of something I find to be totally fascinating! We’ll just call it…God’s love! :)
It’s interesting that there are millions of people in the world today that seek miracles from God just so He can “prove” His existence. Millions more seek miracles as “reassurance” of their faith. And, of course, millions more seek them, simply because they need them. To the last group, I would encourage you to keep seeking! It’s on the way!
To the two former groups, however, I have a slightly different response. You’re looking in the wrong place for your miracle. You’ve already seen it, you just may not be aware of it….
Excerpt from “Secrets From Before“…
As I suppose you already know, God’s been with me here the whole
time…and He has informed me of something very interesting, but
confusing…all at the same time!
He tells me that people there on your side are always looking for
miracles. Something about “evidence” that He is real…whatever than
means. He says that the funny thing is, there are about seven billion
“miracles” walking around on your side looking for miracles! So,
I’m thinking are they looking for themselves, or what?
Besides all the stuff that’s going on in here (and all the stuff that’s
already happened, of course), He says that every person that’s ever
lived is a miracle.
For instance, He tells me that when I get grown, like you and Dad,
that I’ll probably be somewhere between five feet, eight inches and
six feet tall…but just my small intestine alone will be about twentytwo
feet long. My large intestine will be another five feet long or so.
Now cramming all that into a body that’s only six feet tall seems like
it would be pretty challenging, but that’s not the impressive part!
Check this out!
If all my nerves were stretched out in a straight line, they would be
forty-five miles long! Now, I’m not sure how long that is, but it’s a
LOT longer than six feet! I’m not sure how all those nerves get
wrapped up in that little bit of skin!
But…that’s not the impressive part!
He tells me that if all my blood vessels were stretched out in a
straight line, they would be somewhere around 60,000 miles long!
And THAT’S while I’m still a kid! When I get to be grown, they’ll be
100,000 miles long!
Now, I still don’t really know how long that is, but it’s longer than
my intestines and nerves put together. A LOT longer! And it’s sure
enough a lot longer than my six feet of skin (if I get that tall)!
But, that’s not the impressive part!
He tells me that if the DNA from the nucleus of just one human cell
were stretched out, it would be about six feet long. Which THAT is a
lot easier to understand! I can almost picture six feet, with a little
help! But, that’s not the impressive part!
If the DNA from ALL the cells in a single human body were laid out,
end to end, they would reach to the moon and back! Now, I don’t
know how far the moon is, but it sounds like an awful long way! To
the moon and back! Wow!
Oh…I almost forgot this part…it wouldn’t just go to the moon and
back ONCE, Mom…would you believe it would go there and back
EIGHT THOUSAND TIMES? And it’s all packed inside a skin that’s
only six feet tall! Along with all the nerves and intestines and blood
vessels and everything else! Wow!
Now that you know you’re a miracle, along with seven billion other
people (soon to be seven billion and one!), it’s time for me to end for
this letter and catch a few winks!

Elsewhere in this little booklet is another fascinating nugget I’d like to share with you, that is, indeed, miraculous! But first, I’d like to put it into a slightly different perspective. If you and I were in a room with a million other people, and we were searching for each other, think of how long it would take us to eventually find each other. Especially if we were both moving around searching for the other. Keep in mind, that you and I have the ability to ask others…”Hey, have you seen my friend?” And we have the ability to hear the responses…”I think I saw him over that way.” Still, in a room of a million other people, it’s likely to take awhile, wouldn’t you agree?
How about this? As a baby is being formed in the womb, there are roughly a million nerve endings from one eye that have to find their exact matching partner from the other eye and join together in order for us to have sight…and all without the ability to ask another…”Hey, have you seen my friend?”
And still…we look for miracles (no pun intended)!
